Schuylkill Banks Trail Bridge Mesh Rail
Pleasant Mount Welding completed work on a $1.35M PA DOT contract to fabricate and supply over 4000 feet of stainless steel mesh guard rail installed along the Schuylkill Bank Trail Bridge in Philadelphia, PA. This new section of the Schuylkill River Trail was constructed to connect the Greys Ferry Crescent Trail with the Schuylkill River Trail, enhancing access to recreational spaces and transportation for residents in South and Southwest Philadelphia. The trail bridge was opened in May 2025 and features a 650-foot cable-stayed bridge, which is the first of its kind in the state of Pennsylvania, and includes 2,800 feet of pedestrian and cyclist pathways.
